Higher Success Seen in Students who are Part of Extracurriculars

There are tons of extracurriculars, clubs, and specialized electives for students to choose from here at Bowie. There is something for everyone.
There are a lot of students who get involved but not everybody does and I believe everybody should find a place where they can be themselves. There are many benefits to joining a club or trying out for an extracurricular activity.
There are numerous studies that show that students who participate in extra school activities are much more likely to have better grades and GPAs.
Also students who participate in clubs and specialized electives have better social interaction. Extracurriculars are a great chance to meet new people who have the same interests as you and make friends and just having friends greatly boosts a student's self-confidence.
A lot of students who do not participate in any extra school activities say there isn't anything that they are good at. Well students don't have to be good at anything to get involved. All students have to do is choose something that interests them and give it a try.
Participating in extracurriculars can boost student's self esteem and their grades. So just try something new and go for it.
