My Top Story of the Country

In this story it was the first time cigarettes were announced to be unhealthy or bad for you. The story described how they thought smoking can be connected different cancers. The cancers they talked about were lung, mouth, and larynx cancer. They also included a graph about cigarette consumption to show how many people were smoking.

I think this was the second most important event from the 1900s for a couple reasons. Back then everyone smoked. People smoked all the time because they thought it was cool and until this article came out they though it didn't harm them. Smoking is a problem we still deal with today and this article was the start of the negative look at smoking.

In this story it talks about the awful incident at the chernobyl explosion. It tells how the nuclear plant exploded and how it coursed so much radiation. It also talks how about 2,000 people died in the explosion. The story made international news.

I think this was the top event because it affected people all over the world. It also killed 2,000 people in Chernobyl. There is also still to much radiation for people to to live there. It showed how dangerous Nuclear plants are and that we have to be very careful with them or they can be devastating.

In this news article they describe the first successful birth of a test tube baby born. It talks about how the revolutionary technology made it so that a women could have a child against all odds. The article tells how the technology was able to help create a baby girl.

This article is the third most influential stories of the 1900s because it was an amazing breakthrough. It was the first kind of technology of the time. The technology made it so many more women could become mothers. It was an amazing breakthrough for the time and affected alot of people.
